VIERANAS SAFARIS is the only fully registered Bow Hunting Outfitter within the Loxodonta Africana Conservancy measuring some 650 000 acres, offering such a vast piece of hunting land exclusively for Bow Hunting. There is no rifle hunting allowed which ensures a quality bowhunting environment year round with a strong emphasis on Fair chase and ethical archery hunting. Come along and experience a non-commercial Bow Hunt Safari where your guide is also a bowhunter.

We conduct bow hunting by ambush in areas frequented by game, or walk and spot/ stalk methods. All our permanent pit and tree blinds are custom build from natural materials and spacious with seating and designed for bow hunting. The hides are located at watering points or salt lick stations. Portable hides can be set-up on used game trails in ambush. The average shot distances with the bow is within 20 -30 yards, when the game is relaxed and unaware of the hunter. Side-on/ broadside shots are the most successful and preferred.

Other game species are often not even aware that the hunt is taking place and therefore disturbed very little. All the animal species within the hunting area are truly wild African game, ensuring a real challenge of fair chase hunting of indigenous African species in their natural environment. A minimum of 10 hunting days or more are recommended for your African plains game trophy bow hunting safari. We will customize your Archery Hunt with VIERANAS SAFARIS to suit your individual needs.

We accommodate Compound, Re-curve and Traditional Bowhunters. All Cross-Bow hunting is illegal in Namibia. A Bow workshop is available on the property with bow press, fletching tool etc. It is always advisable to bring spare bowstrings and fletches with a good supply of arrows and broadheads with you on your hunt. Fixed broadheads with two/ three cutting blades is recommended when hunting game and judo points for bow hunting birds. Broadheads should have a minimum cutting length of one inch with no serrated edges. Arrows made from carbon/ aluminum/ ACC or wood with a minimum length of 19, 68 inches can be used for Bow Hunting.

All field preparations of your trophies are done by fully trained VIERANAS SAFARIS staff. The final preparation of your trophies is done by a local taxidermist witch enables us to monitor their progress and do final inspections prior to shipping. Other taxidermist may be used, subject to your requirements. A Bushman tracker will back-up the hunt and will share his vast knowledge of the veldt and animals with you everyday of your hunt.

All perimeter/ game fencing in the hunting area allow game to move freely according to fair chase principles. Predators and scavengers such as Cheetah, Leopard, Jackal and Brown Hyaena are common in the area ensuring a natural wildlife eco-system. Age old migration routes of the Desert Elephant that follows the dry riverbeds scattered with Ana Trees (Winter-thorn Acacia) still exists in the area and if lucky you can catch a glimpse of these elusive Elephants while Bow hunting with us. We support Nature and Wildlife Conservation Programs, Ethical Hunting Practices and pride ourselves on Personal Service to all our clients. Our aim is to be actively involved in helping to ensure that African Nature and Wildlife is preserved for future generations through careful and well managed game utilization programs.

First time and seasoned Bowhunters to Africa, Women Bow Hunters and Family hunting groups are all invited.
