EXCURSIONS:

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK - GAME VIEWING

The Etosha National Park lies north east of Vieranas Farm. Approximately two hours drive on the main tarred road. The world famous park boasts a variety of game and is a must when visiting Namibia.

After breakfast you will leave the farm for Etosha with your host, Roger. Entering the Andersson Gate, we will proceed to Okaukeujo Rest Camp and our bungalow for the night. Okaukeujo Camp has a floodlit waterhole that is frequented by an abundance of game, we could possibly see Black Rhino, Elephant and Lion, to name but a few. We will have lunch either in the park restaurant or picnic on the lawn by the swimming pool, then spend the afternoon visiting some of the surrounding waterholes. That evening you can sit back with a beer and enjoy campfire cooking or dine at the restaurant. The next morning after breakfast more game viewing, returning to the farm after lunch.

ATLANTIC COAST - FISHING

The Atlantic Coast lies south west of Vieranas Farm, approximately three and a half hours drive on gravel road. The town of Swakopmund with its old German buildings and historic sites is where we will overnight. The Namib Desert, the oldest desert in the world is literally on your doorstep.

After breakfast on the farm you will leave for the Coast with your host, Roger. The gravel road to the coast will take you past the Brandberg and beautiful semi-desert scenery.

Your first night in town you'll dine out at one of Swakopmund's well known seafood restaurants. An early breakfast and off to experience the cold Atlantic while out on a ski boat doing some shark fishing. That evening enjoy your day's catch on the barbeque. The next day after breakfast you can either return to the farm or extend your stay for one more night to include a morning out at sea, enjoying champagne and oysters watching heavy sided dolphins gliding through the water and a seal or two joining you on the boat. The afternoon take quad bikes out into the Namib dunes around Swakopmund. End the day with a cold beer and a memorable video of your adventure. Scenic flights to Sossusvlei and the Forbidden Coast can also be arranged.
