PHOTO SAFARIS:

Vieranas Safaris is a registered Tour and Safari Operator with the Namibian Tourism Board. Photographic Safaris can only be booked when combined with your hunt with Vieranas Safaris. All Photo safaris can be tailor-made to suit your needs.

A comfortable Microbus with seating for 7 persons will be used on these Safaris. Information guides and beverages will at all times be available when traveling.

Morning or afternoon excursions to various sites in and around Kamanjab can be visited during your hunt;

• Peet Alberts Kopje - Bushmen rock art site.
• Traditional Himba people village.
• Cheetah Reserve.
• Afri-Leo Foundation.

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK - GAME VIEWING

The Etosha National Park lies north east of Vieranas Ranch. Approximately two hours drive on the main tarred road. This world famous Park boasts a large variety of African game and over 300 species of birds and a must when visiting Namibia.

On this safari to Namibia’s greatest game reserve we offer morning and afternoon game drives. All three Camps inside the park has a floodlit waterhole that is frequented by an abundance of game, were you could possibly see Black Rhino, Elephant and Lion, to name but a few.

A minimum of 2 days and 1 night is required for the Etosha National Park Safari.

ATLANTIC COAST - FISHING

The Atlantic Coast lies south west of Vieranas Ranch, approximately three and a half hours drive on gravel/ dirt road which will take you past the Brandberg and beautiful semi-desert scenery. The town of Swakopmund with its old German buildings and historic sites is where we will overnight. The Namib Desert, the oldest desert in the world is literally on your doorstep.

Experience the cold Atlantic while out on a ski boat, shark fishing or if you prefer shore angling.

Quad bike trips into the Namib dunes around Swakopmund and a morning out at sea, enjoying sparkling wine and oysters while watching heavy sided dolphins gliding through the water could be included in this fishing safari. Viewing of Cape Fur Seals at Cape Cross Seal Colony with a packed picnic lunch is another option on this trip.

A minimum of 3 days and 2 nights is required to book the Atlantic Coast Fishing and Adventure Safari.

Scenic flights from Swakopmund to Sossusvlei and the Forbidden Coast can also be arranged.

TIGER AND BREAM FRESH WATER FISHING on the Kavango River with a choice of lodge or camping accommodations is another option for the fishing enthusiast, a minimum of 4 days and 3 nights is required for this fishing excursion with an excellent guide.

If you are interested in any of these excursions do allow extra days after or before your hunt. We need to book these excursions well in advance as the hunting season coincides with peak tourism season in Namibia.
